Apple shaped Kumkuma Bharanis

 In this post again sharing about these unique Kumkuma Bharanis. These are Apple shaped.

 

One is made of Silver and another one is of wood.Both have carvings on them.

 

The Silver one:

I have some more Kumkuma Bharanis in my collection. Soon will share about those. Recently working on Origami, share about those also. Oh My God,I'm so excited! so much to share with you, but in next posts.

Frock with crocheted frills

Recently I could not work with crochet. My crochet needles were idle. The loads of threads and woolen I bought  were waiting to get transformed into  doilies, sweater , laces etc. Even I felt, I haven't crocheted anything recently. So started making this frock.
The pattern I have taken from internet. This is a plain T-Shirt. Attached crocheted frills to the bottom and sleeves.

 

With a hanging purse on it :

 

And made a flower and attached to the purse.

 

I want to gift it to a cute kid. After a long time I crocheted. Crocheting makes me very happy. Soon come with a series which will have the details of all the forms of crochet.

Craft fest I visited

Recently visited a craft fest which was organized in Chitrakala Parishad, Bangalore. It was really nice experience for craft lovers like me. Sharing some glimpses of the fest here.
The entrance , where both the sides you can view, artisans from different states exhibiting their craft works. 

 

Different idols made of brass, potteries and wood articles.

 

Beautiful idols of Shri Krishna and Shri Venkatesha

 

Beautiful jeweleries, and articles made of shells. Also you can see flowers made of  wood, sola-wood   etc

 

Mesmerising Tanjore paintings

 

And this was the attraction of the exhibition, elephants made of artificial flowers. You can see Ambari also on the flower elephant :-)

For long I didn't work on screen printing. Planning to design sarees and Kurtis with screen printing. Also working on some pencil sketches. Share about those in the coming posts.
