Krishna Radha - Beaitiful Idol in bronze.

I'm planning to post tutorials to make different models for school projects. In between, I got an opportunity visit a craft fest . There this beautiful idol of Radha -Krishna was exhibited.

Amazing ! Isn't it? In the image you can see, beautiful Radha -Krishna idols standing on lotus. An arch, on which all the events of  Shri Krishna's life can be seen. 

This is made  by a process- lost was casting of bronze, and ancient metal work practiced in India. About different kinds of metal work I will write in my coming posts.

Shri Krishna - Inspiration to many Arts and Crafts

Today is Shri Krishna Janmashtami. Lord Krishna considered as Great Philosopher, Management Guru, the person who whole heartedly  tried for the betterment of society etc. But for the art lovers like us he is always inspiration for different kinds of arts and crafts. I always like to design with Krishna theme. Sharing some of the arts and crafts pieces created by me using Krishna theme.

The below one is a oil painting depicting first touch of Krishna and Radha

And recently included the Krishna theme in jewels designed :

 

This has a beautiful  hand painted Radha-Krishna pendant with many pearl strands. Without Radha , anything related to Krishna is not complete.

 Below is the one with a pendant hand painted, with two strands of semi precious beads.

This one is again Radha Krishna hand painted pendant , with semi precious bead strands.

Krishna Idol in different costumes

Shri Krishna - considered as great politician, management Guru, philosopher who preached the "Bhagvadgeeta" to the world through Arjuna,  lover of Radha,.... Among all the Hindu mythological personalities, I like Krishna the most.
Krishna Janmashtami- the day when the birth of Krishna is celebrated by Hindus. This brings me the memories of  my visit to Brindavan, the land of Radha Krishna. I was mesmerized by  the temple, beutiful idols of Radha Krishna and of course the tasty Lassi :-).  While returning, I could see many shops selling many idols of Krishna. The one attracted me most is this one :

 

Very attractive ! I could see many beautiful costumes there, which were in different colors. When I asked the shop keeper , he explained me that , in Brindavan , it is a tradition to decorate the idol with different costumes and worship it on Krishna Janmashtami. .

Even I bought one more costume for my Krishna idol :-)Here it is:

You can see that cute crown. And on the occasion of  Krishna Janamshtami, I wanted to see my Krishna idol in red costume , 

Isn't it artistic way to worship Krishna?
